[Deliberate?] 'Security leak' prompts arrests in suspected al-Qaida plot

Ian Tomlinson - Manslaughtered by Police?Ian Tomlinson - Manslaughtered by Police?

From The Guardian:
Security leak by senior Scotland Yard commander Bob Quick prompts arrests in suspected al-Qaida plot

Apparently . . .

The arrests were triggered after Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick, head of Scotland Yard's specialist operations wing, was photographed this morning clutching sensitive documents as he arrived in Downing Street. Clearly visible on top of a large bundle of papers under his arm was a white document marked "secret" that carried an outline for briefing on a current counter-terrorism operation. He was on his way to attend a cabinet security committee.

O'Rly??

Well at least their arses are covered when it later turns out that the alleged "al-Qaida plot" was a complete fabrication.

I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest that this operation was carried out because Police felt the need to take the heat off of their comrades in the City of London Police Force.

Last week a man named Ian Tomlinson died at a protest outside the Bank of England in the heart of London's financial district, known as the "Square Mile".

Initially a Police spokes-thingy claimed Ian Tomlinson died of a heart attack and that Police Officers had being trying to help Ian Tomlinson but were hindered by missiles thrown by protesters.

It later turned out that the Police statement was totally untrue (ahem) appeared to be at odds with the few known 'facts' - Ian Tomlinson died after being assaulted by Police Officers in Riot gear, and many eye-witnesses claim that there were no missiles being thrown at Police, something confirmed by available video footage.

Interestingly enough, the Police also claim that CCTV-cameras in the area were mysteriously 'out-of-order'. Now, where have I heard that before?

A second Post-mortem of Ian Tomlinson's body has now been ordered.

The smear campaign begins:

THE man who died during the G20 protest had a confrontation with cops 85 minutes before his fatal collapse, The Sun can reveal.

Terror Raids and Bob Quick — Getting Public Ready for War in Pakistan?

Simulcasting at the same time and with the exact identical phrases, SKY News, the BBC and other corporate propaganda outlets flashed their Breaking News ticker across British television screens conveniently at dinner time ready for an unsuspecting public’s mass consumption, reading:

“12 suspected terrorists arrested across North-West England”.

I made a post saying the same thing:

http://morris108.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/uk-counter-terror-police-chief-resigns-to-take-heat-off-of-city-of-london-police/

G20: UK Counter Terror police chief resigns to take heat off of City of London police.

Is the resignation of the UK counter terrorist Police chief a ploy to take the headlines away from the police mishandling of the G20 protests?

Was any sensitive info actually divulged?

Wouldn’t any photographer at no 10 be accredited, and be previously scanned by security?

And there is an official secrets act. Or might one of those photographers be an Al-Qaeda mole? Unlikely.

All the news headlines now, instead of targeting the G20 police, are focused on the anti terror police chief, and for those with no interest in current affairs, they might well think that justice has been done for whatever the hooplala was about.

Far fetched, paranoid, or a recognition of the brains behind running a country?

And to encapsulate the killing of two birds with one stone, a blogger shows the MSM:

Under the appropriate title:

oops … let’s terrorize some more muslims, eh?

I couldn't agree more, though it's not just muslims they are out to terrorise

The fact that it was Muslims lends more credibility to the idea of the episode being conjured up
